not knowing where i'll end up.
maybe drowned in the deep pool

but wait that's not so bad

rather than...
taking a plunge and
knowing that you'll be drowned
in a whirlwind of emotions

plunging right into the depths of one's soul
just to never find out the truth

plunging deeper and deeper trying ,
reaching for something essential right below
but you never get there
and even when you do, your hands touch -
a cold hard surface that closes in on you

you sit, cuddled up
cry and cry and cry and cry
feeling hurt cos, just because

you'll never know.
you just won't ever know.
